Gifted Children! Nigerian 8-Year-Old Twins Break World Mathematics Record (WATCH VIDEO)

Meet twins Paula and Peter Imafidon – they passed the University of Cambridge Advanced Maths A level at age 8! They chat with GMTV’s John Stapleton.
Scroll down for videos…
The 8-year-old twins from Waltham Forest in northeast London are a part of the highest-achieving clan in the history of Great Britain education. The two youngest Nigerian siblings are about to make British history as the youngest students to ever enter high school.
They astounded veteran experts of academia when they became the youngest to ever pass the University of Cambridge’s advanced mathematics exam. That’s on top of the fact they have set world records when they passed the A/AS-level math papers.Chris Imafidon, their father, said he’s not concerned about his youngest children’s ability to adapt to secondary school despite their tender age.
“We’re delighted with the progress they have made,” he said. “Because they are twins they are always able tohelp and support each other.”

Young Nigerian inventor creates fuel efficiency tank for generators that can ensure 400% from a normal 100% fuel consumption

The problem of unsteady power supply may be considered one of the cornerstones of the feeble Nigerian economy. One cannot deny that it affects not only the daily lives of the people, but also the regular operation of the businesses.
In this regard, young and vibrant Nigerian inventors have constantly been seeking for the ways to use the available power sources as efficiently as possible with the least possible expenses to provide themselves with the incessant electric power supply. Obinna Ezendu, a commited young entrepreneur, has recently succeeded in overcoming another milestone on the way to solving one of the most persistent problems in Nigeria.
Obitank – this is how Ezendu calls his pet project, a propotype fuel efficiency tank, which, in the words of an inventor, can ensure 400% from a normal 100% fuel consumption. “This means that if you normally use a gallon of fuel for just five hours, be sure to use the same amount of fuel for 15 hours on the same engine. Yes! This is a proven fact as I have successfully built and tested it,” says Obinna Ezendu.
How does the tank work?

Rasheeda Yehuza: Africa’s tech Girl

Rasheeda Yehuza is having quite a time as one of the most recognisable names in Africa’s technology scene. In December 2015, she received the Future Awards Africa prize in technology for her work with Tech Needs Girls Ghana, a science mentoring scheme for girls, and for her work with Nasara Tech, a company she founded in 2013 to create tech-based solutions for problems in local communities.
True to its mission, Nasara Tech is behind the Nasara Voting System, a cloud-based innovation that electronically simulates the manual voting process, with the aim of improving how elections are conducted in Africa, from voter registration to balloting and collation of results. It is also the parent company of Nasara Mobile, a platform that provides bulk SMS services for individuals and organisations.
With her inventions, Yehuza told Women In Computer Science (WICS), she wants to project her country, Ghana, and by extension, Africa, onto the tech map and dispel negative stereotypes about the continent.
“I have a burning desire to improve systems in Ghana through technology as well as an entrepreneurship spirit to be a leading force in technology in the country and Africa as a whole,” she added.

Motola Oyebanjo: The Road to Greatness – A Lebanese-Nigerian's Perspective

I recently sat with some new Lebanese clients who wanted to run a major Advertising and PR campaign for a new product. It amused me to hear them say they were Nigerians. In trying to clarify what they meant, they said to us that they had been in Nigeria for over 35 years and truly had Nigerian passports.
The most interesting part of the discussion for me was when they said they didn't want any foreigners to come to Nigeria now. Asking why, they stated that Nigeria is going to start booming again like in the 70s and they only wanted 'us' Nigerians to enjoy it.
While I laughed at the comments of my white-skinned fellow Nigerians, it felt and still feels great to hear the hope and enthusiasm beginning to emanate again from various corners of the nation.
As the new Ministers are sworn in and get started in the herculean task of rebuilding a great nation that has become a shadow of itself, I want to take this important moment to call on us all, no matter our political inclinations, to support this initiative of rebuilding Nigeria.
We've lived like beggars for too long in a land of plenty. The new Minister for Agriculture, Audu Ogbe, hit the nail on the head when he said very bluntly that "I don't know how anyone can defend importing bananas from Cameroun" while our fertile lands lie untouched and unworked.
